ཐི༏ཋྀ󠀮 LUNACIDAL ཐི༏ཋྀ󠀮

ORIGINFirst appearing in the Appalachian region of North America in 1885, the behemoths initially remained sufficiently docile to go largely unnoticed. However, as the years progressed, their behavior grew increasingly aggressive. The turning point came in 1901, when the first recorded instance of a man being devoured occurred while he was tending his garden. From that moment on, the behemoths were recognized as a threat, prompting numerous attempts to neutralize them to the best of their ability.Various monikers were attributed to them by different people, such as 'man-eaters,' 'lurkers,' and 'new hunters' by the locals. This ignorance about the newly emerged species led to numerous fatalities. The myriad variants within the behemoth family rendered any attempt at effective management nearly futile. The government, ever mindful of the growing threat, sought to keep the matter discreet. It wasn’t until World War I that they tried to put the behemoths to use, a scheme that, unsurprisingly, ended in dismal failure.DifferencesMany behemoths exist, but only a select few are commonly found in North America. Within each behemoth, there are different variants, class types, and physical attributes.Class One is known to range from 249 cm to 343 cm, though some tower far above this range. The distinctions between these classes hinge on size, height, strength, and intelligence, with certain individuals shifting classes unpredictably based on their diet, upbringing, and surroundings.GeographyMost behemoths reside in North and South America, while others can be found in Australia and Africa. Europe has yet to have any confirmed behemoths that are taller than 343 cm's.

behemoths

CLASS ONEMIMICRYER
Known as the smallest behemoths, they are often disregarded in terms of threat. However, under the moon's dark veil, they mimic the voices of their past human prey, preferring to hunt in cramped spaces such as hiding within walls.
ironhide
Known for its mastery of concealment even within the most confined spaces, boasts a rugged exoskeleton and elongated appendages that aid in its adept maneuvering through tight quarters.
brutus
Within the forest's depths, the Brutus lurks, its domain shrouded in a sinister fungus. Crafty and lethal, it ensnares prey with its toxic growth, inflicting a slow, agonizing demise upon any unfortunate enough to tread its path.
dreadnought
Dreadnought, the hidden dweller of river caverns, releases spores to shield itself. Provoked, it buries itself, preparing to unleash a devastating assault. These spores can travel through water, and infect the target.
swindler
The creature lures its prey with cunning and deception, much like the swindlers who took advantage of others during the 1920s. Using shiny objects and desired needs to lurk humans in its territory.
sopwith camel
In the annals of legend, these giants epitomize raw strength and adaptability. Feared for their relentless aggression and insatiable hunger, they also display an unexpected sensitivity to their environment, blending ferocity with reverence.

CLASS TWOangor
Within its monstrous hide lies a labyrinth of teeth, capable of consuming multiple prey without pause or hesitation. These towering behemoths find solace among the craggy peaks of mountains, yet heedlessly descend upon the lands below when the urge to feast overtakes them.
albatros
Behemoths adorn themselves with grisly trophies and cultivate blood-infused vines, sprouting nests for their offspring in a sinister display of their primal nature. Preferring abandoned buildings.
mortar
These behemoths spit out acid to kill their victims faster. They often have multiple eyes for better accuracy and are prone to getting fatigue because of the energy usage.

class threemarauder
Unlike most behemoths. Marauders come in groups of five to eleven. They hunt in packs and often seek out campers. Using wolf life tactics for a successful hunt. Pray that you do not run into them.
bulwark
They plant themselves into the grounds and disguise themselves as broken rocks. The area around them acts as quick sand to trap whatever comes near. Your body will be stuck until you have fully decayed.
duneveil
Often in desert areas. They go under and crawl through trying to find suitable habitats. Sending their large needle tails out the ground to dig their prey back into the sand.

class foursanguisvor
Born from the marrow of ancient bones, the Sanguisvor emerge as ethereal arbors, their ivory branches reaching towards the sky. They remain rooted in silence, drawing sustenance from the earth until drained, whereupon they silently migrate to new horizons.
zeus
These mountain nomads, swelling with each step, feed ravenously, but their hunger consumes them swiffer still. Unable to satiate their endless appetite, they meld with the soil, their massive frames vanishing into the mountain's gnarled embrace.
roaring peaks
The largest behemoths known to man. Standing at 78.24 feet tall. They are the sun blocker themselves and destructive of whatever comes in their way. Only wanting one thing. To reach the moon. These creatures will not stop. Luckily, they only awake when provoked. Do not travel within.
Be careful of who you trust.

· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·VAUGHN RUSSO
Born: November 9, 1911
Santa Severina, Italy
Vaughn, a complete bell'uomo (self-proclaimed), stands with an impeccable pair of light feet, deftly navigating dangerous encounters with both people and behemoths. Having started as a flying newspaper boy, he often got into trouble with his devious sardonic quips that were known to rile up anyone within earshot. Now, he works for SOC, going on expeditions with the small crew that follows. Nobody really keeps him in line—though his foster sister might beg to differ. Despite his outwardly jocular behaviors, Vaughn harbors a deep-seated resentment and disdain for the world’s way of handling behemoths. He’s the reigning champ of drinking at any hour, even when his cough could rival a foghorn. He’ll sip a drink in front of someone’s casket without a second thought-- very mindful.· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·

LEVITICUS FREEBORN
Born: August 5, 1894
Hounslow, United Kingdom
A veritable workaholic coming from the Great War, oscillating between his duties at the Black Dahlia and the machinations of his own small enterprise, SOC. Despite being embroiled in such chaotic acquisitions, Leviticus prefers to find solitude in his research or mundane activities, leaving the woebegone clients to his half-trustworthy Russian partner in crime. Uncertain as to why he’s so drawn to uncovering the truth about these human eaters, unsure where he truly fits amidst the strange and phantasmagorical feats he encounters on the behalf of him.Never one to turn down a good seafood dish, values efficiency above all else, has two knacks for picking the worst employees, and is an exceptional hobby violinist when he isn’t ridding blood off his gloved hands.· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·MAKSIM ORLOV
Born: March 7, 1904
Galicia (Ukraine), Austro-Hungarian Empire
From a man of erratic temperament and dubious loyalty, whose propensity for violence rivals his culinary skills. Mr. Orlovs early life was marked by fishing with his bare hands as a partially deaf child, struggling with labor while caring for his sick mother. As he matured, his disability gradually faded. Upon immigrating to America, he met Edd Edmund, a boxing ring-leader who promised to resolve his troubles in exchange for the pursuit of glory. Ensure you don’t incur his wrath, for if you do, he is likely to seek revenge with intensity and boundless cunning. When he's not breaking bones, Maksim’s infatuated with radio talk shows. Pray you never become his next form of entertainment.· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·JAGER
Made in 1915
Heidelberg, Germany
A glaring anomaly of a half-man, half-behemoth titan, born in a modest building and engineered as an eight-year-old for rapid development into a formidable war asset. Agreed as a success in 1917, Jager, remained aloof and distanced from his comrades. Not being exactly the most approachable. During his search for purpose, he met Leviticus on the outskirts of battle—but was initially reluctant to engage with the Brit who has ebony sclerae. Choosing to sulk in heavy clothing. Finding solace in the companionship of animals whenever he isn’t hungry.Things which others notice about him is his habit of making birdhouses for local forest life, eating raw meat, and burrowing in the basements within his custom fortitudes.· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·BURGESS “BUGSY” RUSSO
Born: September 23, 1916
Santa Severina, Italy
Death itself, rendered inconsequential by his blissful ignorance, as he frolics with eyes aglow with unbridled wonders of what the hell did you just do. Driven by an earnest but often misguided sense of duty. Vaughn’s younger brother possesses a daffodil spirit, marked by the trifecta of his impending quirky life choices. Frequently seen leaping about in aid of his older brothers bootlegging ventures or just as likely to swing by with a saxophone solo as with something vaguely resembling help. When he’s not doing illicit activities, his mind is occupied by spending time with companions, and making the best breakfasts he can manifest with the help of others so he doesn’t burn Boston down.· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·BAEK ROXANNE
Born: July 30, 1909
Chongjin, Northern Korea
To be a grand dreamer in this world is useless, or so her father said before he seemingly abandoned her. But instead of drowning in self-pity, Roxanne spent her life sewing fabric and paying off debts that were never hers. Beneath her subtle smile, retaliatory questionable choices, and lone-wolf tendencies, parts of her still feel lost… like fragments of shattered stained glass, left behind. But what she picks up, she shapes into something new... an invention of self-assurance or detriment. Maybe, just this once, the world will set its bias aside and give her a real chance. She dances now and then as a flapper, rehearses auditions in her mirror, wears suits and ties to feel half as much like a gentleman, and holds onto the memory of who her mother was before the illness.· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·EFE SARKISIAN
Born: August 30, 1903
Lebanon, Missouri
Once a grand dreamer, now a lowly detective of repute. At this point, his most pressing dilemma is deciding whether black coffee is superior to its cream-laden counterpart. Aside from that, he’s also determined to uncover what lies beyond the black dahlia’s blinders. With only the ever-reliable Vaughn to turn to for help– because wouldn’t want a winged kid as their confidant? But with a four-leaf clover in hand, he hopes to go through the devastating cases caused by behemoths—(ones he certainly didn’t sign up for)Known to dabble in trivia nights, mushroom foraging, the occasional sketching of his environment, and always up for a board game for the unsuspecting opponents.· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·CHARLES FREEBORN
Born: January 2, 1915
Boston, Massachusetts
Once the embodiment of a performative golden child, Charles now languishes in self-pity and simmering anger, burdened by the neglect of his parents. He continues to achieve high marks at his private school, his once flawless academic record is gradually slipping, as he increasingly leans toward rebellion. Clumsily following in the footsteps of the uncle he looks up to. The realization of his family's wrongdoings has detracted significantly from his youthful vitality one can say…Avoiding the nonsensical raging, he is a prodigy at the piano when in need of escapism. Bashing his skull into the wall only figuratively…· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·OSCAR FREEBORN
Born: June 1, 1907
Somerville, Massachusetts
Beneath his jittery exterior, is perhaps a man in dire need of both a break and some serious therapy, though he’s not likely to find either. He was unceremoniously handed the task of managing the family’s speakeasy, Black Cat Parlor. The responsibility was a direct result of some posthumous arrangement by Vannick’s deceased wife, much to Oscar’s endless delight—except it wasn’t. Oscar scrapes by with a few tears, a desperate rubber ducky squeak here and there. Beneath the weight of his family’s less-than-savory dealings, Oscar manages to stay afloat—just barely. His hobbies include reading about his home state’s history, low-grade existential crises, and mentally cataloging all the ways he could be doing something—anything—else with his life.· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·THE VALDRIGO BROTHERS
